I am an Australian based Shooter Producer and Directing Cameraman available to work in Sydney, Melbourne, or anywhere else in Australia or abroad. I have 20 years experience working on a range of television factual and documentary productions and online digital media. Award winning documentary series such as: Struggle Street, Go Back to Where You Came From and Homeless for SBS Australia, Restoration Australia and Dead Drunk for the ABC, Top of the Pops for the BBC and other internationally known Australian television series such as Masterchef Australia, Bondi Rescue and Bondi Vet.
I have experience working on a variety of factual and documentary series, sports, reality and digital online branded content. My passion is story telling and I love being out in the field producing and directing. These days many of the productions I work on I am the sole cameraman and director, or as it is called in Australia Shooter Producer. I am also able to direct multi-camera shoots either on location in the field or in a studio environment.
I began my television career in Auckland, New Zealand at TVNZ where I trained as a cameraman. After a few years I headed off to London, England to gain more experience and worked for the BBC, Carlton TV, the Mirror Group, NTL and others. I then was offered a job setting up Top of the Pops in New Zealand for the BBC. I did this for a few years and then returned to Spain to work on the 2004 Americas Cup in Valencia. This led to me setting up my own production company and making various series for SKY TV UK, Real Estate TV and the Living in Spain channel. I also worked as a stringer cameraman and producer there for various UK production companies.
